LIVE SEMINARS/LECTURES AND WORKSHOP

Clinical Iridology Certified Course (40 Hours)

The art and science of Iridology called “The Master Science of Diagnosis” by Dr. Bernard Jensen, the father of iridology in America.

Health practitioners who are interested in learning additional total non-invasive diagnostic skills to reduce the frequency usage of invasive modalities such as Radioactive Diagnostic Procedures like MRI, X-ray, etc., and may use Iridology as a diagnostic tool.
Iridology is a system that correlates changes in the color and texture of the iris — the colored part of the eye — with physical and mental disorders. Iridology also is used to identify dietary deficiencies and the accumulation of toxic chemicals in the body. Natural medicine practitioners may call on iridologists to confirm or expand on a diagnosis from another source. Iridologists follow a system devised originally by Ignatz Von Peczely, a Hungarian physician in the 18th century, and adapted in the 1950s by Dr. Bernard Jensen. Dr. Jensen based his practice on detailed diagrams of the left and right irises.

The following Iridology course is offered by Dr. Susan Padrad, LAc., DAOM, who received her training directly from late Dr. Jensen, in addition to her initial training of the European and Canadian style of Iridology. Dr. Padrad, LAc., DAOM has combined all three training practices, in addition to her own clinical research and experience, into a dynamic combination method that allows her to make due on her personal promise to Dr. Jensen to continue his path in the research and education of Iridology.

On completion of this course the student is expected to be able to:

Certified Therapeutic Nutirition Course (50 hours)

APPROVED CEU CALIFORNIA ACUTPUNCTURE BOARD COURSES

BIOSYNTONIE AND ACUPUNCTURE (16 UNITS)

Biosyntonie Basic Level Course

Biosyntonie is a energetic system of healing that complements other energy modalities such as acupuncture, qigong, reiki, osteopathy, and homeopathy. I had practiced primarily acupuncture, homeopathy and nutritional therapeutics prior to adopting biosyntonie in my practice 8 years ago. Since then I have witnessed extraordinary benefits from its use in my practice and now I utilize this form of healing with 90 percent of my patients for a wide range of complaints including pain syndromes, acute strains, digestive disturbances, menstrual complaints, anxiety, mood swings, depression, insomnia, and many other complaints. Biosyntonie enhances the physical and spiritual wellbeing of a person by realigning all of one's biorhythmic functions with the subtle energetic cycles found in nature. This is achieved by utilizing environmental harmonization devices that keep one synchronized with nature while in the home, work space, sleep area, etc; energy alignment devices to enhance the practice of qigong, tai chi, yoga, etc; and treatment devices that rapidly inform specific or general organ systems with the natural frequencies that promote recovery of health and wellbeing. In this course you will learn about the energetic reference fields that help maintain proper biologic functions. You will learn about the importance of water as a carrier of energetic information and how to read water and utilize this in diagnosing energetic disturbances. You will also learn how to apply biosyntonie devices to enhance the healing power of your environment and counter the ill effects of geopathic stress and electromagnetic pollutions. You will also apply biosyntonie as energetic treatments to restore biologic functions in human, animal, and plants.

STRESS AND PAIN MANAGEMENT GROUP

The ability to tolerate and accept stress is an essential mental health goal for at least two reasons:

First, pain and distress are a part of life. They cannot be entirely avoided or removed. The inability to accept this immutable fact itself leads to increased pain and suffering.

Second, Distress Tolerance, at least over the short run, is part and parcel of any attempt to change oneself. Otherwise, impulsive actions will interfere with efforts to establish desired changes that include:

  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • Increased relaxation and energy
  • Enhanced creativity and attention
  • Restored balance of mind & body
  • Improved mental and physical performance

MINDFULNESS TRAINING AND MEDITATION GROUP

The concept of mindfulness comes from Eastern (Zen) meditation and spiritual practices, as well as some Western ideologies.

Mindfulness means being in the present, being aware of what is happening and what you are doing, observing what is going on, participating fully in what is going on around you.

It is a skill that is practiced and learned throughout Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), little bit by little bit. By learning to live in the present, you can have a life that is more in tune with your feelings and your activities.

SOCIAL SKILLS AND SELF-ESTEEM FOR ADULTS

These questions and many more are explored and answered in a supportive and understanding space by using educational and experiential approaches with group facilitators and members working together.

IMPROVED MENTAL SHARPNESS AND PERFORMANCE

FOR ENHANCED LEARNING

Learn to improve your performance and learning capabilities through mindfulness training.

As students, no matter what we’re studying, it’s guaranteed that at some points during our course, whether undergraduate or postgraduate, we will have to face situations which involves periods of stress and/or anxiety. Like when writing papers, performing on stage, or run up to examinations, and we will need high levels of cognitive control, emotional regulation and self-awareness for successful performance on such situations.

The problem is stress and anxiety actually reduces our aptitude for learning and successful management and completions of these tasks

and challenges and it may also adversely affect our health and well-being as well.

Mindfulness training can provide us with effective tools to help us increase our stress tolerance and, in turn, enhance our learning capacity by remaining calm, sustain our attention and to focus more consistently and appropriately in the face of these demands and improve our psychological and physical well-being as well.

Mindfulness training can offer all students tools that help:

1. Improve overall mental and physical performances.

2. Enhance creativity and focus.

3. Minimize the negative effects of stress.

4. Increase relaxation and energy.

5. Improve coping with low mood/depression and decrease anxiety.

6. Building self-awareness, emotional resilience and self-compassion.

Determine what anger is and how it affects our lives.
